Dressing Rooms

Elstree Studios boasts a number of star dressing rooms, each professionally designed and offering a haven of zen and tranquillity for artists during their stay.

Two of the dressing rooms were designed by top British interior designer Kelly Hoppen.

Kelly and her team transformed two of our standard conventional dressing rooms into a harmonious atmosphere of serenity and calmness using her signature colours of taupe and cream accompanied with her own furniture designs.

The artists to first sample these luxurious dressing rooms were Sir Anthony Hopkins and Gwyneth Paltrow during the filming of Proof.

Having received tremendous feedback, Elstree immediately set about finding a new designer to transform a further two dressing rooms.

Martin Hulbert, design director of Fox Linton Associates, had an impressive portfolio of high profile private clients and projects, which include palaces, restaurants, yachts, ships, and more recently Hertfordshire's five star hotel The Grove.

Martin Hulbert made the amazing transformation just in time for the arrival of Natalie Portman and Julia Roberts for the filming of Closer.

The main aim was to create a comfortable and relaxing area for the artists who work such long hours, providing them with a space to relax, prepare themselves for their roles and feel relaxed in moments when they're not being someone else. This was undoubtedly achieved and the rooms have since been used by many artists who have reportedly enjoyed the home from home experience whilst filming at Elstree Studios.
